Remotely Accessing your EMH from the Local LAN or Internet

This guide explains how to make your Leviton Energy Monitoring Hub (EMH) datalogger accessible from the local LAN or internet so you can view its web interface remotely. If you plan to do this, it’s a good idea to involve someone with networking or IT experience early in the process.

There may be extra costs for setting up your internet connection, creating a VPN, or for any ongoing IT support you might need.

The person who manages your modem, router, or any other network equipment between the EMH and the internet will need to make sure everything is set up correctly. To reach the EMH’s web interface from outside your network, port 443 (HTTPS) must be forwarded, and the firewall must allow the connection.
Some older EMH models also support access through port 80 (HTTP).

For security, use a long, strong password to protect access to the device. Your IT professional can help ensure everything is configured safely.

If you want it even simpler or more step‑by‑step, I can adjust it further.
