Commonly required LAN port traffic

The Leviton Energy Monitoring Hub datalogger by default typically needs the following ports enabled for inbound or outbound traffic.

  • time sync (default is to sync against a pool of available internet time servers; can be user-defined)

  • DNS lookups. Default are public internet DNS servers.

  • Leviton tech support remote access. A secure pathway to enable remote troubleshooting assistance of the Leviton Energy Monitoring Hub datalogger. If the feature is enabled, a Leviton tech must be provided the admin login password to gain access. Host server is buildingmanageronline.com .

  • FTP protocol data upload, command connection (active or passive mode)

  • FTP protocol data upload, data connection (passive mode) - contact whom you are sending the data to via FTP for more on this as their servers may limit the range to a smaller window

Additional ports may be required depending on the configuration options set in the device. For example, Modbus TCP or BACnet IP communications.
