Networking - run length, voltage drop, and how to stay out of trouble

The Alfred tool can be used to ensure that you have a big enough power supply to power your network....without running into trouble. To use the tool:
  1. Add up the total current draw of your system at your power supply voltage
  2. Identify your actual run length
  3. Using the attached chart, find the row corresponding to your current draw and the column corresponding to your run length - the "intersection"
  4. The cell in the intersection is the minimum size power supply you need to have to ensure a reliable network.
If you do not have a large enough power supply, add power to the network! Leviton can you select the best option from those that we have available . Please reach out to your local representative for help with this process.
