Can I import a backup file from a gen3 logger to a gen4 one?

Yes, it is possible to apply the config file from our A7810, A8810, A8812, and A8814 (3rd generation) datalogger into the newer EMHXD and EMHSP devices. When restoring to an EMXD, all RS485 Modbus devices on the device list will be assumed to be connected to RS485 port 1.

This compatibility is possible only when going from an older to newer model.
