Hardwired network help

Newbie

I recently purchased a home that has cabling hardwired, and was really excited about it because I prefer cabled internet to wireless. When I plugged in my Ethernet cable, I do not get signal.

I have a CGNM-2250 modem and I've attached the picture of the network box.

If anyone could tell me how to hook it up I'd really appreciate it.

    Kristin,

It looks like you have the Leviton 47603-18P Structured Media Panel. To use this for ethernet, you will need to come from your modem in to a router (to split the single output to multiple outputs) and then plug a patch cord from each port on the router to each port on the smaller green boards (Category 5e boards) that you want to connect.cable internet wiring.jpg

The larger center board is used for telephone distribution only.
