Cable management for 2RU 48-PORT QuickPort Flat Patch-Panels

Adventurer

What are best practices for routing and dressing cables using a single rear management bar with a 48-port (2 rack unit) patch-panel such as Leviton's 49255-H48, 49255-L48, 6910G-U48, 69270-U48, and 5G270-U48?

Suggestions for using the rear cable management bar for with our QuickPort 48-port panels:

        • Cables should be routed from both sides of the rack to the rear of the panel.  Jacks (cables) that will be terminated to the right side of the panel should route down the right side of the rack and those terminating to the left side of the panel should be routed down the left side of the rack.
        • Working from the bottom of the rack route the lower set of cables (for ports 13-24) under the management bar and attach with Velcro in bundles of 6.
        • Route the upper set of cables (for ports 1-12) over the management bar and attach with Velcro in bundles of 6.
