GFCI outlet green light

Newbie

Someone replaced a GFCI because it didn't reset correctly and didn't give power. The new GFCI which I bought from Home Depot still doesn't give power and a tiny green light is illuminated. Is the illuminated gree light telling me anything?

The green light is indicating that the unit is receiving power.  Ensure the unit is wired correctly with the line side wires going to the line terminals on the back of the GFCI device and the load side going to the load terminals.  The unit will not function correctly if miswired.  Please feel free to call into our tech support team at 1-800-824-3005 for further assistance with wiring the device.
