Can you use tie wraps with Cat 6A cable?

    No, you can not use tie wraps with cat6A cabling. When doing cable maintenance on most cabling it is best practice to use Velcro fasteners. If zip ties are used they can cause damage to the cable due to their narrow width and the tendency to ever tighten them during installation.The tie wraps can crush the cable and degrade performace.Velcro style fasteners are wider and can support cables better without the risk of pinching the cables. A Velcro style wrap are also re-sealable so that cable changes can be done easier. It is also recomended  to install Velcro fasteners loose  and have the cables uncombed (i.e. lay naturally) in the cable pathways
