What is a patch cord?

A cable which connects circuits together.  In your Leviton Integrated Network system the patch cords can be accessed at the SMC.  Moving these cords controls destination of the particular input from an outside source.  For example, a patch cord may send a specific phone line to your bedroom.  If you move that connection in the SMC you may send that phone line to a different room or piece of equipment.
