How far can I run DVI cable before it degrades?

DVI starts to degrade at about 15 feet in length.

I've used higher quality DVI cables as long as 50' and saw absolutely no signs of signal loss.  Same with HDMI.  The key is in getting high quality cables.  But at a certain point it's less trouble to use adapters to convert the signal to CAT5 type cabling instead.  Then you don't have to deal with the hassles and expense of trying to install bulkier DVI or HDMI cables.  That and the end connectors for them are a pain to drag through during the installs.
