How do I install a timer delay switch on an end of run?

I want to install a LTB02-1LZ countdown timer, but there are only two wires - one black and one white, no red. It is an end of run switch, so the white wire is actually the hot wire and the black runs back to the lights. How do I do it?
You will not be able to use the timer in that location because the timer will require a connection to neutral and you only have line and load in the box.
What if i just ground the White wire. Black to hot, red to load, White to ground. Any risks?
No, since neutral is an insolated conductor and ground may be bare you could run the risk of putting current on the ground connection. You can only use a connection to neutral.
What if there is and adjacent switch in the box (on a different circuit) that has a neutral? Would it be OK to use that, and how should I wire it if so?
Single pole, switch at end of run, Leviton VPT24 Programmable Timer.
