    "IP" is short-hand for Ingress Protection and is defined by the IEC 529 Enclosure Classification Designation.  IP Ratings are a two-digit code. The first number indicates the degree of protection from solid foreign objects. The second number indicates the degree of protection from water penetration. The higher the rating, the greater the protection provided by the housing. Typical IP Ratings: IP44 = Splashproof

                                             IP54/64 = Dust-tight & Splashproof

                                             IP65 = Dust-tight & Jetting Water

                                             IP66 = Dust-tight & Power Jetting Water

                                             IP67 = Dust-tight & Temporary Immersion
