ViziaRF+ scene response times

I have a 46 node ViziaRF+ lighting system installed including 15A switches, 600W dimmers, ELV dimmers and 15A receptacles + some 4-button scene controllers.  The house is only 1500 sq/ft.  When a scene is pressed from any of the scene controllers sometimes the response time is fairly quick and other times very delayed.  What could be causing this?

 

On top of controlling the mesh from the switches and scene controllers I  the RS232 option for the homes HAI processor so the mesh can also be accessed from the HAI system.

         Usually latency is caused by high levels of network traffic that can be slowing down the response times. When executing a command from the scene controllers, are any other commands being sent out, either from other Z-Wave devices, or coming from the HAI network?  The higher amount of signals being sent, the more likely it is you'll experience some degree of latency.  Do you find that the same controllers are consistently lagging, or do multiple devices seem to lag usually around the same time?  If you have the Vizia RF Installer Tool on your computer, I recommend using it to update all Z-Wave controllers, to ensure that the signals are taking the best "route" to the connected devices.

      Thank you GOrrigo.  The system was programmed with ThinkEssentials, I was going to run through the optimization process but havnig had time to think about it, the problem could be as simple as a few bulbs being burnt out.  Being as this latency only starting recently happening out of the blue, and knowing my customer and his reluctance to purchase replacement bulbs for all his different fixtures, I have a feeling this might be a contributing factor.  With regards to your questions, the scenes only involve Vizia RF+ lighting nodes/loads, the latency occurs when trying to implement scenes from the ViziaRF+ 4-button scene controllers throughout the home including an HAI touch panel.  However I am pretty sure the HAI system is not a contributing factor as all it is doing is calling up scenes stored within the ViziaRF+ network....a trigger so to speak.  I am not sure if the same controllers are lagging...according to my customer's description it does seem like such is happening.  A few scenes invlove quite a few nodes...up to 20 while others invovce as little as 2 or 3.
