Using a wireless router with the Internet Gateway / Router / 4-Port Gigabit Router

A wireless router can be used with the Internet Gateway / 4-Port gigabit Router. However, some changes will need to be made to the wireless router. If necessary changes are not made to the wireless router there will be an IP conflict. The following steps will need to be taken to avoid an IP conflict.

  • The Leviton Internet Gateway / 4-Port Gigabit Router needs to be at the head end of your network (the wireless router plugs into the Internet Gateway / 4-Port Gigabit Router, not vice versa)
  • Log into the wireless router. The DHCP mode will need to be deactivated. If you are unsure of how to do this, contact the manufacturer of the wireless router and request help.
