What is the idle power for the Evr-Green 160?

There has been some discussion at some forums about "idle" power used by EVSEs, power that is used when not connected to the EV. Some have said the idle power of some units are as high a 30 watts and as low as a few watts. A high idle power could add up to a significant waste of energy, since it runs 24 hrs a day. Many of these EVSEs use electronic switches to control the power without any On/Off disconnect switches. Idle power is used to run the electronics inside the box, waiting to turn on the main power to the car when it is connected.

Whats the minimum height to install the Evr-Green 160 ?

To meet NEC625, is there a minimum height required to install the evr-green 160 outdoors? The box will be protected from direct exposure to the elements in a covered car port. Nevertheless, it will still be outdoors.

After I install the Evr Green 160, can the box be made tamper proof? What prevents someone from simply unplugging the 240 vac and removing the box.

I noticed that there is no longer any mention of the 24A version of the EVR-Green home EVSE devices. On behalf of all of us with an unused dryer outlet in the garage (30A breaker), I'll be very bummed if the EVR-Green 240 has disappeared.

Is the EVR-Green 240 still on the product roadmap?

Does the Evr-Green Home Charging Station allow time-of-charge Scheduling?

As far as I can tell, the AeroVironment charger (the charger that the Nissan folks are "pushing" for the Leaf) does not have a feature for you to schedule the time-of-charge, in order to have the lowest electricity rates, and also have the least impact on the electrical grid.

Thus, I am looking for an alternative J1772 Level 2 charger to the (highly overpriced) AeroVironment charger.

So, does anyone know if the 32 Amp, Evr-Green Home Charging Station, allow programmable time-of-charge scheduling?

We have a community at mynissanleaf.com very interested in EVR-Green EVSE, instead of the one Nissan has teamed up with. This is mainly because the installation charges are seen as too high esp. for simple installs.

What we want to know is - How much does the evse cost to buy. Ideally we would like to buy the EVSE and install it ourselfs (get it permitted etc) or may be get it installed from our usual electrician.
