UL-1666 is the Vertical Flame test for Riser cables, so any cable rated CMR (Riser-rated) could be deemed to have passed this UL test. IEC 60 332-3 and EN 50226 are the European counterparts to the UL-1666. Both are vertical tray (i.e. Riser) flame tests.

Communications cable is rated for no more than 300v. The Amp rating for a 4 pair 10g patch cable is 1.34.

What is a crossover cable?

A “standard” crossover cable looks just like a standard patch cord, but is wired T568A on one end and T568B on the other end. Another way to say this is that the orange and green pairs are swapped. The end-to-end pinout would be as follows:

End A End B Wire Color

1 3 white/green

2 6 green (or green/white)

3 1 white/orange

4 4 blue (or blue/white)

5 5 white/blue

6 2 orange (or orange/white)

7 7 white/brown

8 8 brown (or brown/white)

Remember, this is the standard crossover cable. It is typically used for peer-to-peer ethernet connections (i.e. computer-to-computer or hub-to-hub).

If some other crossover cable different than this is needed, it should be defined in at least the level of detail above, so that it can be built correctly.

What is RJ-10?

RJ-10 is a term used to describe a 4 position/pin connector. The connector that would be used to terminate to a RJ-10 is a 4 position connector C2453-CL, this is a male end connector. Leviton does not make a female RJ-10 connector but a female RJ-45 or 6P6C female connector is compatible.
