Leviton SPD models comparison

Hi,

I am looking to buy a Surge Protective Device for residential, but I am not sure which is right for me. The model that I am interesting in is 52120-CM2, 42120-1, and 51120-1. I did some google-ing to find out about SPD. I came across that the lower the VPR, the better the SPD. So...

I like 52120-CM2 because of higher Maximum Surge Current (100kA per phase), Short Circuit Current Rating (100kA) and the Norminal Discharge (I-N 10kA/20kA); and surge counter and modular. However, I notice the VPR (L-N 1000V) is higher than the other two models (L-N 800V). Which one of these is a "one-size fits all"? 52120-CM2 is my first choice. Any thoughts?

L4400-P 6-Outlet Plug-in Surge Protection Device

Does anyone have specs (including joule rating) and/or an opinion on the discontinued L4400-P 6-Outlet Plug-in Surge Protection Device? It's similar to the present 3500-P, 4900-P and 5100-P SPDs. Several years ago the JEA (Jacksonville Florida Electric Authority) had Leviton make a large number of them with their logo and they offered them to their customers along with a 50240-FAA Meter Socket Surge Arrester Adapter. Jacksonville/Duval County is the lightning strike capitol of the world and I assume somebody knew what they were doing. However, they apparently didn't sell very well (JEA has big PR problems) and are now on the secondary market long with the 50240-FAA at bargain prices. Thanks.

Circuit breaker option for the Leviton 51120-1 Whole House Surge Protector

Installation of the Leviton 51120-1 Whole House Surge Protector states that each black line should be connected to a 20 amp circuit breaker. Is it preferred that two separate 20 amp breakers be used or can it be one double-20 amp breaker?

Does this device require a dedicated circuit or can it be added to an existing circuit that is closest to line?

I am a residential home owner. My home is less than 3 years old, electrical system is built to code. I have 2 main panels and 1 subpanel. The subpanel is configured to receive power from a generator during power disruptions (I do not currently have a generator). I want to protect my electric system with surge protection. What is the best option for me, a 51120 series device on each panel or a 50208 unit installed outside on the meter?

Does one option provide better surge protection than the other?

Is there another device option or approach I should consider?
