VRCS4-MR local load control

I have a VRCS4-MR that I cannot control the local load. I can hear the relay switch, but there is always line voltage at the switch terminal on the controller. I've attempted a factory reset and still the same results.

Scene Controller and 3 Way Circuits

I just moved into new apt. and am transferrinf my Vizia RF+ gear from my previous home. I have a VRCZ4-MR Scene controller with load control and I want to place this at a location that is a 3-way circuit. I also have a VRCS4-MO 4 button scene controller, I was hoping that I could use this as the companion switch in the 3 way circuit. Will this work? if not what is a part number for the companion switch that will work?

pr180 causes light to blink when set to auto

I installed the PR180 in our kitchen this weekend. The problem is that when set to the auto position the light blinks. It seems to stop after about 5 minutes. This is really annoying. Is this a bad switch?

Zones, Areas, Groups, Associaitons

Can someone provide the "real" definitions and differences for the Z-Wave Terms:

Zones
Areas
Groups
Associaitons

Seems like these terms are often trhown around and few people know what they really are.

In the RF Installer Tool, for the VRCZ4-MRZ, it refers to Areas and I see no way to add a Zone.

Seeing that the device is a ZONE controller, how can there not be a way to add a Zone?

Having trouble with VRCS2

Hi, I am having trouble configuring the VRCS2 double control. I follow the programming procedure in order to include it into the remote control VRCPG following the regular procedure:

1. Pressing both buttons in order to get it into the programming mode

2. Including the node into the remote control

3. Naming the device in the remote control

4. Pressing enter to save the changes in the control

Once I complete the procedure, the device does not follow the remote control orders, and it does not even react when I press either of the device buttons in order to start the lights I connected to it.

At that point, I have to reset the device completely, pressing both buttons again for more than 10 seconds in order to clear the device memory and have it operating again manually.

Any suggestions?

Yale with VRCOP+3,VRP03,VRZP15

I am trying to install 3 x Yale Z Wave locks. I get one working just fine, any one, as long as it is close to the VRCOP.

It is my understanding that the Yale VRP03 and VRZP15 should extend the network so all three locks can respond to the VRCOP.

I have had no luck getting this to work. Ideas?

Lost feedback in my entire network

I have a 50 node all Leviton Vizia RF network in my home. I also have an HAI omnipro II panel. I set up the network with a RZCPG-BSG remote because I didn't require the remote to manage events. The remote died a year or so ago and it wasn't an issue as all was working well. I decided to add a Kwikset deadbolt with z wave radio and found that I needed to upgrade my serial adapter to the +3 model and upgrade the firmware on my Omnipro. Because the remote was no longer available to hand off primary control to the also included installer tool, I defaulted each node and included them into the new network. The resulting network will respond to commands from the installer tool and the Omnipro panel and the dead bolt reports back it's state when manually locked or unlocked, but all of the lighting and fan nodes will not send status reports to the installer tool or to the serial adapter. I have tried everything I can think of to get the 2 way working but I have not succeded yet. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding where I have failed? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

How to extend Zwave to my Guest House...

I am trying to get Zwave locks managed in my Home Automation system. 13 Locks but I cannot get Zwave to communicate to my guest house from my primary house. Is there any outside devices that i can put inline or is there any hardware solution where I can replicate the signals over to the Guest House? Guest house is about 80 ft from the main house.

I use UPB on the switches so I dont have a big Zwave network. Just for the locks mostly and a few plugs to help replicate zwave for the locks.

Is there a list anywhere of what modules/controllers and Leviton devices support beaming. Older posts go back to April '11, and I'm trying to find out if I'll need to purchase a VRP03-1LW plug in lamp control module in range of my Kwikset locks, or whether the VRE06-1LX sitting 4 feet away would work?

Any thoughts or input?

Also, if I do need the VRP03-1LW close to my Kwikset locks, can it be the last item in the mesh / chain from my vizia controller, or do I need beaming devices the entire mesh?

Controlling Schlage door lock using VRCOP

I have a VRCOP-1LW as well as the Programmer/remote VRCPG. I have managed to get light dimmers onto the zwave network using these devices and I am also able to control them.

However, can somebody please explain me how I can get a Schlage door lock to join the network? I see in the application node that there are commands to lock/unlock a door and knows its battery status level but I dont know how I can first get it to join the network.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

VROCP update with Windows 2000

Does anybody know if you can update the firmware on a VROCP using windows 2000? The only PC I have that has a serial port is running XP, I have been told that a USB to RS232 adaptor will not work.
