Ambient light override never works on IPSD6

This product is really frustrating. If I set the light sensor to less than around 0.75, the light never comes on. If I set it over 0.75, it comes on during the daytime. Does this feature even work?

Can a short circuit damage the motion sensing switch?

My wife created a short circuit by inserting the wrong type of light bulb into the socket. There was a spark. I have now put in the right light, reset the fuze, but the switch seems to be dead... I don't see the green light anymore and it is not switching on even when using the manual over ride. Could the short circuit have caused the switch to fail? Pleasre advise. Thank you.

IPS02 Won't Turn Off After Installation

I tried to install an IPS02 occupancy sensor today, and was able to get it "working", but it would not turn off the lights under any timing or light sensor settings. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi -

I have an application where i need 2 - 3 way occupancy switches at each end of an L-shaped hallway.

Currently, the 1000W worth of 120v fluorescent lights are controlled by two standard switches.

Does Leviton offer a solution here? And a wiring diagram?

PR180 Buzzing

I installed a PR180 in my utility room where there is also an exhaust fan (separate switch). The sensor is to operate a standard 4' fluorescent light fixture. When in the on position the switch works perfectly. When in the auto position, the light comes on, but it buzzes. Any ideas? This is my second switch. The first one was faulty and didn't work at all. The one I installed in my pantry works perfect, except it operates a smaller fluorescent light.

How do you disable the ultrasonic sensor on the OSSMT wall switches?

I hav e this sensor on a small room 12 x12 ft but it keeps shutting itself off even with a large number of people in the room, can someone please advise why this is happening?

I thought that a sensor with this large capacity would be overkill for a small room that's why i got it but no.

I get red to red, white to white and black to black. what do you do with ground? where does it go? sensors work, lights do not. when I switch red and black wires nothing works. Oh, 3 way install. Also where does small yellow piece of wire attach on 3 way switch?

PR180 and Dim Light in Auto mode

Hi,

I recently purchased a PR180 to control the night light circuit in my bathroom exhaust fan. All The normal light and fan circuits are control by two seperate switches.

The PR180 has the black wire to source, green wire to ground and the red wire supplyineg on side of a 4 watt incandescent nighlight bulb. Of course the other side of the bulb goes to neutral.

The motion LED works fine and the option sensor works fine as well. But when the time limit is reached and the light is supposed to go out, it just dims instead. It never turns completely off. If I walk into the room the light gets bright again until the time limit is reached and then it goes dim again. If I turn the switch to on it lights bright and if I turn the switch to off the light goes off just as it should.

It's is almot like there is a constant current draw from the PR180. I do notice the PR180 gets it's neutral through the lamp istead of wiring directly to the neutral wire. I assume this is so I can sense the load.

Any ideas as to why the nightlight will not go completely out? And if I continue to allow it to work this way is there a safety issue involved.

I have a light switch that dims the light.

I want to add an occupancy sensor so that the light will come on when someone walks in the room (the switch is in an odd location and I don't want to fumble for it in the dark).

What occupancy sensor should I use for this? Can any be used? Or only specific ones?

How do I wire this? Do I just add the occupancy sensor as a second load to the light so that it can then be turned on either by the occupancy sensor or the switch?
